When should you wash your hands?

You should wash your hands for a verity of reasons.
The different reasons are ‐

‐Before, during, and/or after when doing almost anything with food
‐ Dealing with someone who is sick
‐ After doing anything that relates to bodily functions
‐ Touching an animal
‐ Taking out the trash

Why should you wash your hands?

‐ It will help prevent you from getting sick
‐ It makes your hands smell good (depends on the soap)
‐ It will make your hands cleaner
‐ It will help prevent other from getting sick

Steps to washing your hands

1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm water), turn off the tap, and apply soap.
2. Later your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Be sure to lather the back of your hands, between your fingers, and your nails.
3. Scrub your hands together for at least 20 seconds. (Or the sign the "Happy Birthday" song twice)
4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water
5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them

This is the PROPER way to wash your hands.

Do I really need to wash my hands for 20 seconds?

Yes!

Is Germ-X better to use the soap?

No. Only use it until you can wash your hands.

Should you turn off the faucet after washing your hands?

Maybe, it's up to you. Doesn't really make a difference (according to the CDC)
